Dräger Presents Specialist Solutions for Acute Care

By HospiMedica International staff writers
Posted on 01 Feb 2024

Drägerwerk AG & Co. (Lübeck, Germany) is demonstrating how its solutions for acute care can help protect, support, and save lives across departments and the hospital at Arab Health 2024.

At the 49th edition of Arab Health, Dräger is showcasing its anesthesia workstations that focus on simplifying work procedures for both clinical staff and biomedical engineers – enabling them to address every challenge with ease. They ensure maximum patient safety and operational ease by providing clinicians with real-time information at the point of need: a simply ingenious way to address patient safety in the operating room. The Atlan A350/XL is the "can do all" anesthesia workstation for all patients, procedures, and spatial conditions. The A350/A350 XL is equipped with an electronic gas mixer with automatic fresh-gas composition control. Similarly, the Perseus A500 combines proven ventilation technology and the latest refinements in ergonomics and systems integration with an advanced anesthesia platform to streamline anesthesia workflow.

Dräger is also highlighting its Babyroo TN300 open care warmer which is scalable to use in a variety of hospital environments along the patient pathway, from the labor and delivery room to the neonatal intensive care unit to the final discharge. Visitors to the Dräger booth at this year’s Arab Health can also experience the PulmoVista 500 electrical impedance tomography (EIT) system which visualizes respiratory functions directly at the patient's bedside, providing continuous, regional information about the distribution of ventilation in the lungs. Also being showcased at the event is the Aquapor H300 humidifier which can support the process of mucociliary clearance so that secretions can be removed. This reduces the formation of atelectasis and the risk of infection for the patient.
